About

On a cold evening in the winter of 1984, I was a student in Boston walking across Boston Common and I snapped a shot with a Kodak disc camera.  The shot sparked my interest in landscape and travel photography.

Photography for me is to try to attempt to capture the experience and emotion of a single moment in time and to have the ability through the still image, to share that moment.

Here in the unfamiliar surreal white landscape, the city came to a halt and the intensity of the silence created by the snow was a uniquely impactful moment of tranquility and solitude that I wanted to capture in the image.

Each of these images represents a similar unique moment of peace in an otherwise hectic life.
